Tell us about the shooting location.

I’ve lived in Redhook Brooklyn for about 8 years. I really love the place and plan to keep living here. I decided to choose it as the shooting location because it’s a big part of my life.

Tell us about your work.

I majored in art in university and now I’m working as an artist. I create sculptures and drawings based on the circle of life. Recently, I’ve developed an interest in fashion and am currently creating textiles as an artist-in-residence at the Textile Arts Center. I’ve been making androgynous clothes with a skilled patternmaker, and the pants I’m wearing today are one of my designs.

What are your impressions of the GTX Hooded Down Coat?

It’s extremely light and is well-balanced in terms of insulation. I like that it’s waterproof and uses magnetic closure. I’ve been familiar with Goldwin for a while and know how great your products are.

Tell us about the shooting location.

New York has some great places that have become tinged with history over time.

I feel like Carroll Street Bridge has been here for a while. Since the days the canal was used until now, time has continued to wear out the bridge. It has aged well. I think the structure is beautiful and elegant, but the canal itself is dirty and polluted (laughs).

What are your impressions of the Spur Down Parka?

It’s light and feels durable. I really like it. I always choose brown shades, but black is nice too. The down is also great in terms of packability.

How did you spend this summer and what are your plans for winter?

I was planning to visit Japan this summer, but that fell through because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Japan has a sensitivity for minimalist, high-quality designs. I think this winter will turn out to be special in a way. I plan to find a house and make it cozy. I think it’s going to be a long, cold winter, so I’ll spend it preparing for next spring and summer.

Tell us your impressions of the GTX Hooded Down Coat

This coat has a lot of attention to small details that you won’t find in any other outdoor brands. The down it’s made with is extremely warm but light at the same time. I think it’s great.

What are you mindful about at work?

I pay special attention to providing customers with the highest level of professionalism and authentic service.

What’s your daily routine?

I usually cycle to work, but in my free time I also try to cycle in the outskirts of town. I also enjoy surfing, fly fishing, and camping. I hope to keep exploring the urban parts of San Francisco as well as go hiking in its beautiful natural landscapes.

What are your best and happiest moments each day?

San Francisco is a unique place. I’ve been living here for about 12 years and am still inspired by the awe and creativity at every corner of the city. It’s so special that I grew up in California, a place that has stunning natural landscapes right around the corner.

Tell us about the shooting location.

I often came to Rockaway Beach to surf with my siblings. We’d usually drive there or take the train. It’s an amazing place with the sea right in front of you. There’s a tight community with like-minded people who are in the same situation as me. That’s what I really like about it.

Tell us about the United States.

If you put aside all the problems that are going on in America at the moment, it’s a beautiful country. There are spectacular natural landscapes within easy reach. The national parks across America are truly stunning. It’s a shame that many people now don’t cherish that nature. I hope that changes gradually. I think the country’s diversity is also one of its great features.

What are your impressions of the GTX Hooded Down Coat?

The details and functions of the coat, like the magnetic pocket closure, are great. It’s light, stress-free, and made with GORE-TEX. The minimalist design works well for urban use.

Tell us about the United States.

I lived in New York for about 8 years. This is my fourth year in this city. I’ve never lived somewhere with such a close-knit local community. That’s what I really like about it. I can meet like-minded people my age or in the same industry. In summer, it’s like Miami. I love the beachside boardwalks—I can access bars, restaurants, and friends’ houses easily on foot or by bicycle.

How did you spend this summer?

Staying indoors gave me a chance to cook more at home. I also stayed in touch with friends and family members. I took every possible precaution and tried to boost my immunity by getting out in nature. You start losing your mind if you’re constantly indoors, right? (laughs)

Once the COVID-19 pandemic comes to a close, I’d love to visit a bunch of places. And even if I can’t, I hope to stay safe and happy.

What are your impressions of the Spur Down Parka?

It’s so light and warm. I love the color and design of the piece I’m wearing. The small details are also wonderful.
